Nope Nope.... Did not die. Aw DAMN, i know you're thinking. Whatever!

I haven't had much time to blog, let alone think. I do want to send much mahalos out to my favorite local darlings who spent some time with me when I headed over to the 'islands of my fantasies' < song by Fiji> My mother had never been to Hawaii. I spent a lot of time showing her the local sites, and we did touristy stuff - which I had never done, myself.

The Arizona Memorial any other Asian feel a bit awkward while you were there? I kinda did. Especially, after the little movie. I did notice that an older couple was kind of rude to Moms and me. I dunno. For me, it was weird. It was like being in Hicksville again. Except that once you left the memorial, you were fine. Until you almost run over a few meandering Japanese tourists in Waikiki.

Pali Lookout We almost got blown over. Who needs a facelift?? just stick your melon up on Pali for a good half hour. Plus your hair ends up like Don King's. Whoo!

North Shore We drove from Mililani Town up and around the island. Zipped through Haleiwa. Stopped and sat at Ehukai Beach...oh..the water...gorgeous. Then zipped around to Malaekahana where Moms took more pictures. I fell asleep in the car as my aunt drove us around. Hey..I was conditioned to do that. You know, those 3 am. trips to Disneyland when you're five? Anyways! We came down the Windward side...stopping every so often for the extreme photographer to shoot her pix of the island.

Cinnamon Girl Thanks to my cousin and her search for a non-snagged sweater, we saw every single Cinnamon Girl on Oahu. Oh..except for the one in Pearl Rige. My sister even got tired of looking at Cinammon Girl's and they're right up her fashion alley!

More shopping I'm sure I don't need to name these off. It's entirely possible that I did walk the circumferance of the island - except in shopping malls. My mom's not much of a shopper...but, my cousin and sister are. Eesh. Ward Center, Ala Moana, DFS (it was right across the street - good for bored nighttime browsing), Int'l Market Place (score on the puka shells! and silver for my sister), Pearlridge, Royal Hawaiian...ack!

Grinds Of course, I took the family to Leonards for Malasadas. We had a dispute over cinnamon or sugar. I couldn't help on the vote - i ate two of each... Waiola for shaved ice - lilikoi and lychee. We also got Azuki and Poi bread. One of my two nights out with the local gang, we went to Ryan's for oyster shooters. Not nearly as many as I would've liked. That night was closed with a chili dog from Zippy's. Again -- much mahalos for the great time, guys! Too bad it was short guys' night at Mai Tai's!! But, I'm definitely going back to the W! And we're playing Airsoft next time!! *bang bang*

Other sites Ran into a couple of other mainlanders - the YAMs! We celebrated Matt's birthday with a fatty boston cream pie. *groan* And the real reason I went to Hawaii was for my cousin's wedding. She got married at the Hale Koa. So pretty. So freakin' hot it was that day!!! It's a little embarrassing to stand up and your dress sticks to your ass. But, she came down the aisle on her daddy's arm, crying. Of course, my cousin and I chuckled at first, then we started to get teary eyed too. damn.

Ok, time to wrap up. G'night!

Pau.
