It's gettin' hot in here... SF is boiling!! I'll just sit here quietly in my cubie and hope no migraine comes my way.
Friday Five for today (don't ask me where i got this friday five..maybe it's before they got things posted up there. bizarre):
1. Where were you born? San Francisco, CA
2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? I moved across the bay..but, I'm dying to move back. Why? Well....commuting SUCKS! and I don't even have that bad of a commute. I used to be ok with it...but, I've decided that I want to reclaim my City life. Suburbia is great for vacations. HA!
3. Where in the world do you feel the safest? Home
4. Do you feel you are well-traveled? Not at all. It took me 27 years to leave the country. And I haven't seen any of the US past Arizona. *does the finger "L" on the forehead*
5. Where is the most interesting place you've been? I thought Amsterdam is one of the more interesting places I've been. The architecture I definitely liked. The shopping was pretty cool, as the exchange was healthy. The redlight district - well.... there were red lights. ;) The cafe's? KICKASS!!!!!
Pure Steel
What? The Naked Chef ain't nekkid?????

Randomness First they weren't too sure about him.... now check him out. He's a Supah-Stah... Orange hair, married, and all.
My new gig is a Soy Latte. There are three cafes around my office. Two out of the three make really good lattes. The last one - well - how do you make a watery soy latte? I dunno, but, they do.
I noticed on my daily ventures into the online journal world that there is a sense of melancholy out there. Is it summertime blues? They say for single people, summertime is the best time to be available. I dunno. Maybe because I've recently been dumped (yes, that was a pun) into the scene, I don't hasten to agree. I miss having someone to do something with after work - you know, a reason to leave the office? A couple of the gals and I were talking yesterday about what we would/could do alone and what we wouldn't want to. For example, I've been trying to get myself to go to a resturant and eat alone. Lunch, is no problem. Dinner is a whole other story. Lil Kat wouldn't eat alone - she says that food and company go together. Would you enjoy your meal as much alone as you would with another person? Hm. Movies - are different. We would all go watch a movie alone. I guess that's an easier call, cuz you can blend in.

We goin' Back? How far? Waay back! Well, back about 15-20 years. My coworker has had his radio stuck on some 80's station. I've been listening to everything from Flashdance to Earth, Wind and Fire to Chicago. Now, Chaka Khan is playing. *gasp* Do you remember that song by Rockwell? 'Somebody's Watching Me?' I'm checking my mirror now for gray hair. Sheeziz. That reminds me that American Idol should be 80s songs tonite.
Last night I saw Austin Powers: Goldmember. Laughed quite a bit. The opening sequence is pretty damned good. Good brainless laughs. Gotta like that. I also saw Signs. I like that the trailers were mysterious. And I did end up liking the movie quite a bit. It was suspensful. Certainly not any Sixth Sense by any means, but, it kept your attention.

Holy Skids Batman Holy crap. I'm seriously rethinking getting my license to ride a motorcycle. This mornin', I was chatting with G about the weekend, and he said he went riding and that one of our friends had gotten into an accident on Sunday!!! He had to be airlifted to a hospital! Thankfully, it's not life threatening. Dislocated shoulder and hip. Evidently another rider was coming the opposite direction....misjudged the turn and floated into oncoming traffic, taking out the first two guys in the group. Our friend was the number 2 bike. Holy CRAP! ok...high speeds...no cover...bad bad bad. Maybe I'll stick to mountain bikes.
