First Strike! Who's your daddy? James Jett! Whoot! Anyways...I've decided that I don't like my cousin's new girlfriend. She's not very nice. Plus one of my good friends has a crush on him. He tells me that this gf of his is smart..though she may not be pretty. Well, imo, I think she can have all the smarts, but, if she's not very nice...well...she's uglier than just physical looks. So..Smart Ugly Girl can hang, but, I hope she doesn't stick around. Yeah, I'm a bitch, too....but, hell...I'm family, dammit - and protective, I suppose.. Anyways, I'm debating if I should put on my RSVP to (RAIDER INT!! WHOOOO!) a SuperBowl party... "I will go...as long as there are only nice people...

Kiku-Assu Resu-te-ran-to wa doko ni There is an awesome sushi resturant in the Marina. No, not Ace Wasabi's, though they are good there too. I can't say the name, cuz if I say it three times, the CandyMan will appear. Whoops.. For real, it's a small joint, and it's usually packed, so, I wouldn't want to put anyone through the trouble of waiting for seats at the sushi bar.. OK OK, I'm being selfish..and I don't want it to get more crowded. HMPH. FINE!!! It's called Saji. If you go, you must sit at the sushi bar. Usuallly, you will be attended by Hideki, Tomo, or Seijio. They love drinking biru with you. Last night, we had Orion, in honor of Emiko's mom who is in Okinawa at this time - I prefer it to Sapporo, but, it's a bit difficult to find. By the time we were done with a bottle plus a masu full ofsake, I was using every bit of elementary Japanese that I knew. Thank the heavens that Emiko was coaching me. The three sushi chefs are all very...sukebe...so, I ended up learning a lot of bad things too, including a Hawaiian word. Maru...which could be the same as hentai. Never order an 'ochinko' roll, when you really want an "oshinko" roll - you will get very threatened looks from all males at the table (I did not order it...when Emiko ordered an oshinko roll, she was teased by Seijio about that). And for Pete's sake, when you are toasting, just use kampai...don't say "chin chin" -- the French toast does not use the same vernacular in Japanese. Anyways...full of uni ika no sashimi and toro, Emiko and I went home....as the Japanese Nelly crooned, I am Ichiban.

Needed: A much better and BIGGER mousetrap Yeeeahhh...I hate rats. The other night, I was walking from the office to the BART station. It was bout 8:30 pm. It was dark. I was heading into the area I call Rat Alley. Why? Well, on a previous occasion, my coworker and I were doing the same walk an hour later..and we literally ran into three blind mice/rats. One came shooting out at us and tried to go down a pole hole left in the sidewalk. This well-fed vermin couldn't fit his tush in the hole, so after mooning us for 10 seconds he stuck it in reverse and ran back into his parking lot. KT grabbed me and we started running...I shit you not, she started to run. I firmly believe that the vibrations woke two other rats, as they too came shooting out to scamper across the sidewalk in front of us! I think we made it the next 8 blocks in record time. This second night, though, I was on my own. And I was thinking to myself that I would not make a sound if I saw a rat..cuz, hell, that's so girlie. Sheeeyoot... Tell me why I was walking by the same parking lot, when I saw Mr. Rat, no doubt it was the same one, rustling around next to the fence of the same parking lot. Sucka got bigger. I started to sidle away, I swear he was about to stand up on his hind legs, grab the fence and start making comments like a construction worker..."heh heh..hey behbeh." Let's just say I let out a squeak of my own, and took off before he could advance.... I could see it in his beady lil rat eyes. If only I had my rat kickin' boots on. I will be registering for a license to carry a bb gun. :) Then I'll be armed and dangerous..... look out punk ass rats. (Note to PETA: I do not wear rat fur coats or stows, so, do not fear for the life of your rat friends, like I would risk rat blood being splattered on me.)
Be Needing a Seeing Eye Dog, Dawg So, there is one thing to be said about eye insurance - get the good stuff. I didn't realize how good I had it at previous employers, until now. I'm on my last pair of contacts, see -- and I am a bit overdue for my annual. My optometrist is a friend of my parents, they took him under their wings to prevent him from becoming a gangbanger back in the Chinatown of the 70's - seems to have worked. Now, I don't like asking for price kickbacks, but, what kind of Chinawoman would I be if I didn't - and I just may have to. Now that I have this sucky insurance, I have to pay for my eye exam, then use this Vision Service to purchase frames from some place like For Eyes, and I don't believe it even covers contacts. Whatever.
Songs In A MInor I looove Alicia Keyes. I'm sad that I wasn't able to swing tix to see her at the Parmount, before they all sold out. It's pretty hard to believe that such a soulful sound isn't coming from ... well... someone that looks more like Kelley Price. That girl definitely has a set of lungs. Speaking of which...ever said to a poor ailing parent when their child is screaming bloody murder.."That kid's got quite a set of lungs"? Whatever happens to those kids? Do you think they ever put those lungs to good use? Yeah right. They just grow up to be Minor Pains with big mouths to replace the big lungs they had. Whoa...where the heck did that come from? I ain't no hater. I love them kids..... yeah.... Bernie Mac style. :)

'Bout the hair thing.... Note to self: in order to not look like Bozo the Clown, one must carefully plan the amount of time from removing 'Wrap, Snap, and Gos" to when they are going out in public. I had no idea that my hair (rather fine Asian hair) would take the curl so well. I tried to pull the curls so that they weren't so tight, but, *boing* they'd spring right back again. So, I put it up for half the night until the curls settled. CRAZY!!!!!
GO RAIDERS!!!
Eek Last night we watched the Chamber. Anyone else see that? I was rather disinterested cuz I thought it was a spin off of "The Chair" except without John McEnroe. No....it's pretty ... nuts. That's the only way I can describe it. After you win the qualifier, you are stuck in a chamber that is either set for Cold or Hot with various "dangerous" things in there to distract you. You sit in a chair with monitors for your bodily functions...and for creating shockwaves through your body, too. The chamber vibrates, and has climate and temperature fluxuations; then the chair rotates, so you're hung upside down. While all of this is happening, you have to answer questions!!!! If you miss two in a row, the chamber stops, and you loose. One lady was screaming and swearing. But, in the end, the least amount of money taken home by the three contestants was $7K. I wonder...was it worth it?
